Harnessing the power of nature

2.0 billion dry tonnes of biomass feedstock could be available in North America.

This could be converted into:

-  650 million tonnes of pure ethanol  or

- 2.0 billion tonnes of fuel for thermal electricity generation plants

It also represents 7 500 less  supertankers full of crude petroleum oil coming to North America.

10 million tonnes of canola yields 4 million tonnes of crude oil and 6 million tonnes of biomass fuel and high protein animal feed.

28 million tonnes of wheat translates into 9 million tonnes of ethanol  and 9 million tonnes of high protein animal feed.

Ontario has already begun using  Ontario produced biomass to supplement coal fired power plants.

Next year, we replace it. The run of  petroleum is over, the rise of  energy from plants has begun.
