Renewable energy from wheat

For thousands of years wheat has been known as the staff of life. Perhaps it is now time for wheat to be the shield as well. Wheat is the most widely cultivated crop in the world and for the last five years has averaged over 550 million tonnes in production. Each year many of the ancillary benefits of this cereal grain are not captured. Hayhoe Mills believes there is much potential laying dormant in wheat waiting to be called forward to answer the cry of our hungry world for more food, more fuel, more energy. The wonder of wheat continues.

More to come; this old story is just being extended.
